The Hollybush Inn and Campsite - Glasbury-on-Wye, Herefordshire
You will be stunned by Barbara who runs this fantastic campsite, serves the most wonderful scram and is an all round good egg with an unequalled vitality for life.
Sandy Balls - New Forest, Hampshire
We know this is an odd name but if you want to visit a jewel in the New Forest, Hampshire, then Sandy Balls has it all. This is how we imagine Center Parks started out but it has kept its rustic charm. A real hit, we love it. There is loads to do for kids and adults alike.
Newton Mill Holiday Park - Bath, Somerset
We loved this place, and so did Scamp. On a quack-o-meter, we rated this as 5 quack quacks. Plenty of opportunity to observe the wildlife in the stream behind the pitches. The staff could have been friendlier and for a place with a pub onsite, they could have done so much better but the location and facilities are outstanding.
True Lovers Knot - Tarrant Keyneston, Blandford, Dorset
This pub is adjoined by a small but very adequately equipped campsite. Anthony and Barbara who run the pub are very welcoming and friendly. The pub is relaxed and we were made to feel very at home by the locals. Dave, the chef, turns out award winning food and Charlie, our Basset even had two Basset friends, Toby and Pingu, who reside at the pub. Although there were no quack quacks for Scamp, the large number of rabbits more than made up for their absence.
Mill Park Camping and Caravanning Site - Berrynarbor, Nr. Ilfracombe, North Devon
This is one of the best equipped campsites that I have personally stayed at. The facilities have recently been refurbished with everything kept exceptionally clean and well laid out. The pub onsite does not open regularly but there is easy access to a wide range of local attractions and North Devon scenery. This was quite possibly a 5+ quack quack rating from both Scamp and Charlie with ducks and rabbits galore.
The Old Oaks Touring Park - Wick, Glastonbury, Somerset. This is a multi-award winning campsite for Adults only. Some of our recent customers have been there. Their intention was to stay one night but they stayed for their whole week away! For those of us who cannot bear to be disconnected, this site also offers excellent value WiFi access.
Rowlands Wait - Bere Regis, Dorset
An annual favourite haunt with one of our Customers. While we haven’t visited here ourselves, it looks like the kind of place we shall be trying next. Great facilities and local attractions. Look out for the FBTs !
